Taking care of business? Spending time with people I respect and honour? To me the two are the same.
I'm sharing my life here on this page, from an intent of finding accord with the hearts of those I work with.
On the right, top to bottom:
- Myself at work in the Bridge River Valley Economic Development Society in Gold Bridge, BC. Click here to see the Valley website, which I created, and the current staff are now updating when they can.
- My cat, the Wully Bully Boo, waiting for me to light the wood stove.
- My dining room, looking out onto the backyard and the meadows beyond.
- The cows come home. They come by my yard almost every evening, on their way home to the barn. Wully Mully usually decides to run inside about the time they show up. Click on the picture to see enlargement.
- Watson Lake, under big August skies. Now I'm used to West Coast and Mountain lakes, and at first I thought this lake was pretty dull. And then I got into those glorious skies. And the fact that Watson is a Duck's Unlimited lake, and Canada geese and every kind of water bird imaginable frequents these waters. And the bullrushes and grasses are so lovely. - Watson Lake Road. At the western end of the lake is one little road, Watson Lake Road, accessing fourteen houses. This is my community. Bordered on the north by the lake and on the south by a ranch that spreads out over a hundred miles. I love all this open space! And I love walking in the tall grasses and wild flowers of the ranch meadows. Mully loves it too. Click on the picture to see enlargement.
On the left, top to bottom:
- My office; Command Central from which I engage the world!
- My Personal Assistant, Mr. Wully Muggins, computer cat who loves to mouse. Wully is also known as Mully, as Muggly Mu, Wully Mully Munskers, and Buddly Boy. A dear friend brought him a catnip mouse this summer. Thank goodnes. I was getting tired of trying to remember to always slide the mouse drawer back in.
- The ranch meadows behind my house. The best walking in the world.
- My backyard. It's August, yet enough rain has fallen to keep everything green and the skies have been glorious. Click on the picture to see enlargement.
- Big blue skies hover around my house. And the cows wander in the lovely green fields of earth. Click on the picture to see enlargement.
- The ranch entrance. This is one of the ways I can walk into the endless meadows of the ranch behind my property. As far as I'm concerned, this is my personal heaven on earth. And I don't even have to own the land, any more than the cows and geese have to pay rent for passage. Click on the picture to see enlargement.
